Sarah + Chris Engagement

         Morning rain, foliage, umbrella, Starbucks coffee,  and pure love – a perfect blend for Sarah and Chris’s engagement.

         Sarah and Chris were from the same school since eighth grade but didn’t meet until their senior year in high school. They were put into the same English class, became  friends, and by the end of the year, Chris asked Sarah to Prom. And she said yes!

After their prom, they started dating.

         “We decided to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary together this past May, because they were only a week apart. We got dressed up all fancy and had dinner at Grace’s Mandarin in National Harbor. Whenever we go somewhere, we usually walk around, find a place to sit, and just talk about anything. Which is why I didn’t question why we did that after dinner. It was sunset and we were sitting on a bench along the water talking, when Chris said he had a surprise for me. He got down on one knee and I was sooooo shocked that I actually said “What are you doing? Get up!” Hahaha, I thought he was falling down or something! He said that he was never nervous to ask except right after I said that lol. But of course, I said yes!”

        During their engagement session, we strolled the National Harbor as if they were just out on a date that day. We walked the path that they would usually walk. I can’t stress enough how simple, yet beautiful their engagement was. Their uniqueness as a couple was captured on every single photo.
